Cowboy Ketch

Ketch is always toting his rope around throwing it at anything and everything he can, including his sister and mother. He is a natural roper with a great loop. Today Ketch won his first belt buckle in Hereford Tx at the Spicer Gripp Memorial Dummy Roping.

The approach.The horn catch.

Congrats Ketch on winning your first buckle. You deserve it!

Cooking Lasagna

Kenzie and Ketch love to help me in the kitchen so the other day we made lasagna. They had a great time laying out the noodles, spreading on the meat sauce, and sprinkling on the cheese.
We had enough to feed us for the week but it was DELICIOUS!!!!

Homeschooling

Since Kenzie was a toddler I knew that I wanted to use my education to educate her. Not only would our lifestyle of traveling interfere but my experiences in the public school system over the years would cement my desire to homeschool.
The first of the year we got started doing a small amount of schooling in reading and math. Each day we spend a combined total of about 40 minutes doing a lesson in each. Kenzie is doing awesome and has impressed me with the progress she has made and look for to what is to come.

Our Texas Cottage

We have now been in Texas for a month. Each day we are here I am more thankful for this wonderful furnished rental we are calling home. It isn't very large but by far larger then the horse trailer and has given us a great place to create memories.
It is a garage apartment set back behind a larger home.

Mud room/Laundry room right inside the door. Turn up the stairs to reach the apartment.

The small living/dining room combo.

The kitchen that I am thoroughly enjoying. It might not have a dishwasher but it has a full size refer, oven, and counterspace. I'm establishing a love for cooking here.

Our beautiful seashelled bathroom. (YUK!!)

The kids room.
(It happened to be clean today. All the toys are hidden out of sight!)

Our bedroom.

Overall it may only be 800 sq. feet but its very comfortable and just right for us this winter.

Saying goodbye is so hard....

Saying goodbye to Grandma & Grandpa was so hard to do. Kenzie was in tears and tightly holding on to Grandma for dear life while Ketch was giving hugs like he would see them tomorrow.

It will be a long 4 weeks until we see G&G again.

NEW BOOTS!

As always Grandma came bearing gifts. New boots! Although, Kenzie's were too big and Ketch's were too small we got them into the right sizes. They LOVE their boots.( I wish I could get them to wear something else.)

Kenzie was very specific as to what kind of boots she wanted. Big square toes with gree tops.

Boots just right for a little cowboy.

Hailey even got a gift. A pink coat for the cold weather.

Visitors!

Grandma, Grandpa, Ginger, and Uncle David all came for a visit this week. They arrived yesterday and are staying until Wednesday. I'm not sure who was more excited , the kids to see G&G or G&G to see the kids. Its been 4 weeks since leaving home and the kids were desperately needing some loving by Grandma & Grandpa. We are all so glad to have them here.

Getting some long overdue LOVIN from Grandma!
